This Buyers Guide provides more information to help you make decisions when buying our products.
Shipping options
Orders received before 1:00pm CST are shipped out the same day.

What is our "Render Only" version policy?
5 for 1
With the purchase of each single-user license, you may install the software on 5 render-only machines at no additional charge. If your render farm has more machines then 5 per license purchased you are required to buy more licenses to accommodate the render farm. Render-only machines are those never used for front-end work, they sit on a rack or do not have a monitor attached and are used for rendering only, we appreciate you respecting our licensing polices.
For example
- Buy 1 license 1 workstation, 5 render-only machines (or nodes)
- Buy 2 licenses Up to 2 workstations, Up to 10 render-only machines (or nodes)
- Buy 10 licenses Up to 10 workstations, Up to 50 render-only machines (or nodes)
NOTE If you have more than 5 render-only machines per workstations (i.e. 5 workstations and 50 render-only machines (or nodes), you are required to purchase additional full licenses to accommodate you render farm.
Below is a list of products and how each are installed on the render-only machines.
- Magic Bullet Suite, Primatte Keyer v3, Knoll Light Factory
These products come with a faceless render-only version of software, this can be installed on each render only machine and does not require a serial number.
- Film Fix, Instant HD, Key Correct Pro, Magic Bullet Colorista, Composite Wizard, Image Lounge
You may install the full version on your render-only machines, these require a serial number for installation. You will use the same serial number that came with the product for each of the 5 render-only machines installed.

Download vs. Box versions
Our products are available as "Downloads" or "Box" versions. Please consider the following to determine which is best for you. All downloadable products have the word "(Download)" following the product name. If the word Download does not follow the product name, that particular product is not available for download.
Benefits to Downloading

- DOES NOT include the project files to complete the tutorials in the manual as they are too large to download
What you get with Box versions
All Boxed products have the word "(Box)" following the product name

Product Upgrade Information
Below you will find details on how to upgrade and what previous versions qualify you for the latest versions. The latest version of each product is indicated below.
- Knoll Light Factory v2.5
Version 2.5 is required to run Adobe CS3 products.
Who qualifies for the upgrade? Owners of Knoll Light Factory v1.0 or v2.0 qualify. If you own a copy of Knoll Lens Flare or any other version of Knoll you must purchase the full product at this time.
How does the upgrade install? You must have your previous version of Knoll Light Factory installed on your computer in order for the upgrade software to operate and install properly. If a previous version of software is not found on your hard drive the install will fail.
- Magic Bullet Suite v2.1 Version 2.1 of Magic Bullet Suite offers both Download and Box versions, choose the best option for you. The upgrade comes with a serial number but requires your v1.0 or v1.5 dongle (USB hardware key) be plugged into your computer during installation. Once installation is complete the dongle is no longer required to run the application.
- Primatte Keyer v3.0
There are two upgrade options, a $149 Box version and a $149 Download version. They are exactly the same, except the Box version comes in a DVD case, includes both Mac and Windows versions and the project files used to complete the tutorials outlined in the PDF manual. Any previous version of Primatte Keyer qualifies you for the upgrade. This upgrade requires the hardware dongle you received from the original purchase.
- Composite Wizard & Image Lounge v1.2
There is only one upgrade option for both CW & IL, a $30 Download Mac OSX update. If you were previously running on Mac OS9 and upgraded your computer to OSX you'll need to upgrade both of these products. Any previous version of Composite Wizard or Image Lounge qualifies you for the upgrade. This upgrade requires you to input the serial number of each product received with the original purchase
