Magic Bullet Suite Film Selected for New York International Latino Film Festival
San Francisco, CA, July 16, 2003 – Red Giant Software today announced that Minimal Knowledge, a feature length movie from Corrado Schoner Films, will be screened at the 2003 New York International Latino Film Festival. Using Magic Bullet Suite, filmmakers Gregory Corrado and David Schoner, Jr., were able to shoot digital video footage and later process it to achieve the look of film—thereby reducing the overall budget by more than $150,000.
“We had painstakingly filmed this movie as if we were shooting on 35mm—great composition, beautiful tracking shots, and atmospheric lighting. The Magic Bullet Suite plug-ins helped us highlight our efforts and bring the project to the next production level at a fraction of the cost,” said David Schoner, Producer at Corrado Schoner Films.
Minimal Knowledge has been selected for seven international film festivals and has won eight awards including the Jury Award Best Picture, the Audience Award Best Picture, Best Actor (Cristian de la Fuente) and Best Director Award (Gregory Corrado) at the Ajijic International Film Festival in Mexico, the Audience Award for Best Drama at the Sarasota International Film Festival and the Audience Award Best Picture and Jury Award Best Picture at the Garden State Film Festival.
The film’s star, Cristian de la Fuente, plays Matt, a murder detective who begins to question his belief in God, family, and love. Matt must confront his innermost fears when he meets the reincarnated beauty, Renee, played by Izabella Miko. Through trial and failure, Renee teaches Matt to use the power of eternal souls to solve both his professional and personal problems.

Gregory Corrado and David Schoner, Jr. received the Audience Award for Best Drama at the Sarasota Film Festival; the Audience Award for Best Feature and the Las Charalas Award for Best Picture at the Ajijic (Mexico) International Film Festival for Minimal Knowledge.
